End of development of eFilm

Updated: Nov 4, 2022

Dear eFilm User,

You may or may not have received directly from Merge a letter regarding the discontinuance of the eFilm workstation product range.

Given they have decided to formally start the process to retire the product Merge plan to:

  1. End development of eFilm effective immediately. Development in support of maintaining eFilm will continue.

  2. End sales of eFilm effective May 1, 2021, due to a regulatory requirement regarding ongoing CE marking of the product. Healthinc is no longer able to sell eFilm licencing of any kind after this date.

  3. Plan to end support for eFilm effective June 30, 2022. We will be working with you and Merge over the ensuing months making sure you have appropriate plans and alternatives, if needed, in place.

We will be posting updates and answers to frequently asked questions on our website blog pages which can be accessed at https://www.healthinc.com.au/blog. Healthinc will be offering alternative solutions to eFilm moving forward.

You are welcome to contact our team at support@healthinc.com.au, or via our call centre 1800 882 443.

We look forward to working with you through this transition.

Regards

Aaron Glover / Director

Hi All,

Healthinc will be offering alternative solutions to eFilm with our PACS partner Visus. The “JiveX” Workstation is a full featured system, offering similar/enhanced features to eFilm. I have attached some information about JiveX Workstation and am currently working with Visus on suitable solutions for your operational requirements.

Hi All,

I have more information from the US on eFilm. Unfortunately after June 2022. licences will not be able to be regenerated for any reason. This means that if you have a hardware failure/update or software corruption, your licence will not be able to be regenerated and eFilm will not be accessible. Healthinc has options to counter this and other scenarios depending on your eFilm use. and workflow.

Please contact me using any via any of the above methods to discuss your business needs and options moving forward.

Regards, Glenn
